AUGUST 2012

Outdoor Photographer's inaugural The American Landscape Photo Contest selected from over 10,000 individual images, and I am pleased to announce that I was awarded with an Honorable Mention for my photograph LIGHT FALLS.  Additionally, this image was voted People's Choice Winner.  Many thanks to those who voted!

A nice coffee table book of the winning works and finalists was published.  Editor Chris Robinson states, "Nature photography comes down to being in the right place at the right time.  With that, you have the opportunity to create a truly special photograph.  But being in the right place at the right time isn't a guarantee of success.  The photographer brings something else to the scene.  Call it vision or creativity or artistic sensibility, it's that additional element that will transform a beautiful scene into a winning photograph."

As the first hotel on the City's main road, The Monarch Dubai acquires the coveted address of Number One Sheikh Zayed Road.

The heart of one of the world's richest regions, Dubai is a dynamic and rapidly expanding International business center.  Its location at the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe gives it a crucial role in business dealings across the region.  The city is located midway between the Far East and Europe, with major cities on both continents within close flying distance.  Dubai's luxurious airport and Emirates, the award winning airline, along with the creation of Jebel Ali Airport, which will be the largest in the world, has helped position the city as a forerunner in the field of travel.
