Lahaina's Unprecedented Tragedy:
On August 8th, Hurricane Dora, lurking to our south, propelled ferocious winds to the Westside of Maui exceeding 70 mph, turning a fire into an unstoppable force. For a relentless 36 hours, this tempest of fire and wind ravaged our beloved Lahaina-town, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake. Almost every home in our town has been consumed by the flames, and the loss is felt not just in property, but in the invaluable lives that were tragically taken. With such swift destruction, our community now faces a landscape marked by grief and displacement.
The vibrant spirit of Lahaina, Maui faces an unprecedented challenge. Recent events have left our beloved town in ruins, a reality that's hard to grasp.
Our community, once brimming with joy and shared memories, now faces a landscape transformed by loss. With no time to prepare, we've been overwhelmed by the sudden change, resulting in heartbreak and upheaval.

The unwavering support from friends and the larger Lahaina community has been our beacon, generously providing refuge for us and our extended family as we chart our path forward.
