Twenty years ago, I stood beneath the stars at the edge of the Grand Canyon, unaware that I was about to create an image that would forever change how I see the world. Cosmic Life wasn’t just another photograph—it was a moment of pure discovery, where the blending of moonlight, starlight, firelight, and flashlight captured more than just a scene. It captured the feeling of being alive in that vast, untouchable space.
This image became a turning point in my career as a photographer—where I first realized that photography isn’t just about documenting reality, but about expressing the deeper emotions we feel in those fleeting moments.
